Wahine Wednesday’s are go!

Kalamalka Lake has been smooth and glassy lately making it a perfect place to kick-off the first Wahine Wednesday. Starting at Kalavida, the group assembled boards, bodies and paddles and took off from Kal Beach.  By the sounds of it, the SUP trip was sweet and a pair of eagles kept watch over the Wahine’s as they made their way around the calm waters. Is SUP Dock Jumping the next big thing?

Photo of the moment – Cory Ferguson charges off the dock and onto his C4 iSUP.   Winds gusts of almost 40/kmh kicked up some waves on Kal Lake so it was time to SUP n’ SLAP in the afternoon chop.  Will dock jumping be the next wave?  Maybe not but it’s pretty cool when you land it.  Cory’s tip of the day – legs apart and knees bent – Anything less results in a short 2-second ride followed by one major Slurpee headache.  Read more: Is SUP Dock Jumping the next big thing?
