Bob Purdy continues his yearly mission to paddle every day for at least an hour – he’s celebrating his 365th day by hosting his annual Salmon Run Fundraiser for the David Suzuki Foundation.  Come join the fun.  From Bob:  “Paddle for the Planet 2011 will wind up on Saturday, December 31, 2011! Celebrate Day 100 of Bob Purdy’s Paddle for the Planet

April 10, 2011, will mark the 100th day on the water for Bob Purdy’s Paddle for the Planet. It’s been no small feat (and feet!) that he’s made it this far – without a day off.  Bob’s mission to bring awareness to a variety of issues that continue to threaten the planet continues to evolve and grow and to celebrate his 100th day straight, he’s organizing a group paddle at a place that he calls his home on the water – Peachland, BC.   Check out his website and facebook pages for more details on the mission and Day 100. Paddle for the Planet – Nature is Calling…

On January 1, 2011, Bob Purdy from Kelowna will embark on a year-long effort to raise awareness for the protection of our planet.  He’s been ‘Standing Up’ for a few years now and has decided adopt the cause through more than just words.  He plans to paddle every day for one full year and hopes that the initiative will catch on… and ultimately help more people ‘tune in’ to nature.  It’s called ‘Paddle for the Planet’ and you can get involved too because Nature is Calling.…. will you answer the call?
