Eagle Run SUP Race & Clinic Got a board already? Or maybe looking into the sport?  The Eagle Run SUP race and Skills Clinic will get you movin’ and groovin’ – No pressure, just a fun recreational race along with free demos and a Skills Clinic.  The race is open to everyone with a number of categories, including Groms and Juniors. 
BC SUP CUP Announced
British Columbia, Canada – (March 22, 2012) – The athletes have spoken!  BC is getting competitive on the Standup Paddleboard stage and proud to announce the formation of the first BC SUP CUP Championship Racing Series. This summer, both competitive and recreational paddlers will get a chance to compete in a formal series that stops at several well-established race events across the province – Four unique events that capture the full essence of Standup Paddleboard racing in Beautiful British Columbia, complete with year-end awards and titles.
Keep Kalamalka Lake Blue The 3rd Annual Kalamalka Classic SUP Festival will run June 23-24th and once again, Kalavida is donating proceeds to support SPrKL  (The Society for the Protection of Kalamalka Lake). The society was officially formed in 2008 to act as custodians of the lake to ensure that all user groups are able to enjoy their experience safely and peacefully.  Most recently, the group has initiated riparian work on Coldstream Creek, the Kalavista Lagoon and continue to monitor various threats to the lakes health and safety.

River SUP on the Similkameen – Keremeos, BC

Short SUP Stories from South Western BC.  We took a flash trip to Keremeos to check out the Similkameen River in late August and discovered that its a pretty sweet SUP spot.    After failed attempts to find the town’s quasi Taxi driver, we met up with Baker Bill who helped us shuttle the car to our drop point at the Chopaka bridge, 13.5 miles South of the town.  The parched hillsides, fast moving current, and wildlife made us feel like we were back in the Wild West
