Stand Up Paddling has opened up an exciting new world of exploration around the globe and rejuvenated the adventurous spirit of surfers, kayakers, canoeists, and the like.  From the Mangrove’s of Kosrae in Micronesia, to the pristine coral reefs of Fiji, the rush of the Colorado River and thousands of points in between – the sport’s reach seems limitless.  This section will serve to expose a number of sweet locations in BC and around the world – One spot at a time.  Submissions encouraged and welcome.

(NEW!) LOCATION OF THE MONTH – Shuswap River (Southern Arm near Enderby, BC)

The Scoop – The Shuswap Region is a massive network of lakes and rivers in the Thompson region just North of the Okanagan.  It’s one of the most popular boating and fishing destinations in the province and has countless sweet spots for SUP’ing.  We picked a section that kicks off in the middle of Enderby at a popular tube run near the bridge in town.  It has a fast moving current and tons of fish to see but the left side is shallow which makes it a great place to learn turns have fun on the board.

The Inside Scoop – Start your run at Belvidere Park and finish up at Tuey Park – for $5.00 the tube taxi will take you back to town and you can do the run in an hour or less.

Way Inside Scoop – Head East from Enderby and you’ll get into rapids and whitewater (coming soon to Locations).
