A new 16oz. SUP racing paddle from Werner – The Grand Prix. Werner introduces the ultimate SUP designed for racing. The Grand Prix Race Series features Performance Core technology and advanced manufacturing methods to yield the lightest, best performing SUP specifically for racing on the market. At a paltry 16oz., this could be one of the hottest race paddles of the season. Available in 3 different sizes.
Choose one of three blade sizes to match your power and board glide.
- S1000 91 in.2 18.75 x 7.25 in.
- M1000 98 in.2 19 x 7.75 in.
- F1000 105 in.2 19.25 x 8.25 in.
Features:
Offered in both Bent Shaft and Straight Shaft. The Bent Shaft will give you even greater reach at the catch of the stroke and align your wrist to limit fatigue while giving you full five fingers of contact; important in bumpy conditions. The Straight Shaft is lighter in weight and is perfect for those who can use a loose grip style of paddling.
Optimized the blade to shaft offset at 12˚ – allowing for more reach and power at the beginning of the stroke and less lift at the exit. The blades are narrow so you can get them closer to the board for a more efficient forward stroke. The thin tip knifes cleanly in and out of the water.
• Palm Grip in carbon for additional weight savings.
• Recommended for racing. Not recommended for surfing or for whitewater paddling.
Available in Mid-March, 2012
