Hann and Hoeben take Summer Series Opener

The first Kalavida Summer SUP series race in the Okanagan was hosted in Vernon on Kalamalka Beach and was a huge success.  It’s a laid-back day that included a skills clinic with RogueSUP’s Norm Hann followed by the races.  Almost 30 paddlers came out to take on the new short courses and the field included athletes from as far away as Vancouver, Osoyoos and Kamloops. The women took to the course first for a short 2-miler while the men completed a longer 2.5 mile race. Conditions were almost flat and it was a great day of racing.  Season #2 is underway….  Next Summer Series Race goes Tuesday, June 14 and includes a 30 minute race clinic.
