It might be hard to imagine a run down a class II river on your SUP board if you are new to the sport. The fact that you are just getting your ‘sea-legs’ or ‘lake-legs’ is an accomplishment and for paddlers who feel the need for some speed and thrills, you’re in luck. SUP’ing in rapids and whitewater is growing in popularity for thrillseekers and it’s getting some prime-time exposure at the TEVA Games in Vail, CO this summer.
(Teva press release) New for 2010 we’re bringing Stand Up Paddling (SUP) to the Teva Mountain Games in a big way. Come and test your SUP skills in the class II-III waters of Gore Creek in the heart of Vail Village. Weather you’re a water-man or a mountain-man, a complete novice or sticker clad pro, this sport is the newest reason to clear some room in the outdoor extreme shed.
